Pinched sausage

Only the meek get pinched. The bold survive.

This is what I told that Ferris Bueller kid in the restrooms of Chez Quis on that fateful day back in ’86.
Actually, what I really said was “Only the MEAT gets pinched. The bold survive.” I guess he must have misheard me.

Which is probably understandable – I’d just had a painful zipper-related incident while standing at the urinal. My meat was well and truly pinched, let me tell you.

    1. It wasn’t my nuts that got pinched, Ed, it was my pork sword.
And the quote WAS mine. Meat gets pinched ALL THE TIME in the sausage industry, that’s how I came up with it.
      Found a job yet, Rooney?

  1. Tsk. What does that even mean? What does the bold surviving have to do with meat getting pinched? Let me assure you that boldface text has been around for hundreds of years and its survival owes absolutely nothing to meat getting pinched. Or not getting pinched. As the case may be. Do you have even the slightest knowledge of the history of typography? I very much doubt it.

    1. This is not the appropriate place for consumer related issues, please visit our Froman Inc corporate site if you wish to give us some valuable feedback.

    2. Having read your comment more closely, however, I’m starting to doubt that you even HAVE ever eaten my sausage. In which case your feedback would not be useful to us, please disregard my previous reply. I’m sure you must have been eating sausage supplied by one of our many inferior competitors.

  2. So, what, you’re chatting to Bueller while taking a leak and you zip your lady dagger up in your zipper, and so you say to him ‘Only the meat gets pinched. The bold survive’?

Why would you even say that?

    1. Well, I would admit I wasn’t thinking too clearly at the time, Thomas.

      It probably sounded like this:
      OOOOOOHNLEEEY THU MEEEEEEEEET GETS PIIIIIIAHHHHNCHED…
      *look of concern from Bueller*
      …BUUAHHHT THE BOOOOHHLD SUHRVIVEEEEEE…

There is more to this story, however. I’ll write another blogsite blog about it soon.
